About Mako Business Development

  • Gina Peck established Mako Business Development in 2010 after leaving Tyson Foods, Inc., to relocate with family from Springdale, Arkansas, to Austin, Texas. Prior to consulting, she spent 12 years employed by Tyson in various marketing and operations positions.  During that time, her experience included Brand Management in Deli Meats, Product Management in Poultry and International Commodities, Demand Planning/Supply Chain Analytics, National Account Customer Development and Business Development in Prepared Foods/Poultry.

  • Gina has extensive knowledge of retail strategy in perishables products as well as meat and prepared foods manufacturing to fill this space. She also has extensive knowledge of data resources associated with prepared foods and perishables departments of retail grocery.

  • Clients include companies in behavioral healthcare, non-profit, food manufacturing and advertising.

  • Because of the size of the firm, we maintain a small client list engaged in long-term relationships. However, we complete ad hoc projects when it makes sense and many of those projects have turned into partnerships. We staff additional resources as needed.
